Based on the internationally recognised Education First Youth Foyer model, Y2I supports young people to develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to transition successfully into independent adulthood.
At the heart of Y2I is a belief in each young person’s potential. We recognise that every individual has strengths, aspirations, and the right to make their own decisions. Our role is to support young people to overcome barriers, build on their capabilities, and create a positive and self-directed future.

Y2I homes are managed statewide by CatholicCare Tasmania, ensuring a consistent, high-quality service grounded in care, respect, and empowerment.
Youth 2 Independence (Y2I) provides accommodation and comprehensive support for young people aged 16–24, empowering them to build independence and engage in education, training, and employment.
