People arriving in Tasmania from refugee and migrant backgrounds face many new experiences and challenges as they settle into life in a new country. The Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) Program offers caring, practical assistance to help individuals and families feel confident, connected and empowered throughout their settlement journey.
Our team provides personalised case work, information and advice, referrals to specialist services, and group programs that build skills, increase knowledge, and strengthen community connections.
Volunteers and Bilingual Support Workers play an essential role in the program by offering their time, skills, and companionship to help achieve positive outcomes for the people we work with.
This service is available to individuals and families from refugee or migrant backgrounds who hold an eligible visa. Click Here for mor information about eligibility for the SETS program.
The SETS Program operates in the South, North, and North-East regions of Tasmania.
