A mediation service that supports separated people to make financial decisions together about the division of assets and the responsibilities for liabilities without needing to go through the court system.
Property Dispute Resolution provides mediation support to help separating people resolve property matters without going to court, save money and reduce the stress of separation.
Impartial and qualified Dispute Resolution Practitioners support participants to work towards practical and mutually acceptable agreements. The process is respectful, confidential and focused on supporting constructive communication during what can be a challenging time.
The process includes completing an agreed list of assets and liabilities, exploring how the Family Law Act guides decision making about current and future needs, and determining a Property Dispute Resolution Agreement that can be used in the preparation of a Binding Financial Agreement or Consent Orders, both of which are legally binding.
This service is available to people experiencing separation who need support to resolve financial disputes, and division of assets and responsibility of liabilities seeking an alternative to a Court process.
This service is offered in North West Tasmania.
