Inspire@Home, Special Care Packages

This program supports young people who are unaccompanied minors or in the care of Child Safety, and who need a specialised level of supervision, stability and therapeutic care. Each placement is designed around the unique needs, experiences and strengths of the young person, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can feel secure, valued and supported to heal and grow.

Special Care Packages provide:

• Individualised placement arrangements tailored to each young person
• High levels of supervision and support
• Trauma informed, therapeutic care delivered by skilled staff
• Stable, safe and nurturing environments
• Support that promotes  wellbeing, safety, connections and life skills
• Flexible responses to changing needs over time

Care arrangements are developed in close collaboration with Child Safety and the Young person to ensure the best possible outcomes for each young person.

This program is available to children and young people who are:

• Unaccompanied minors, or
• In the care of Child Safety and assessed as requiring intensive individualised support

Special Care Packages is a statewide program. Referrals are made through Child Safety Services.
