Building Up Dads

Building Up Dads is a group program supporting men who have used family violence to understand the impact of their behaviour, build positive parenting skills, and strengthen safer, healthier relationships with their children and family.

Participants will explore:

  • The role of being a child-focused dad
  • Ways to build positive relationships with children
  • Understanding the impact of behaviour on children and family relationships
  • Strategies for respectful and effective communication with a child’s mother
  • Building positive connections and learning alongside other fathers
  • Practical skills to support positive parenting

This free group is for men with current family violence orders.

  • Weekly 2-hour sessions
  • Commencing Tuesday 20 October at 1.00pm
  • 9-week program
  • Tower Road, New Town, Hobart

Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided during the sessions.
