NILS offers no-interest loans to eligible Tasmanians from $300 up to $2000, to help pay for everyday essentials, including car repairs and registration, household essentials, education expenses, medical and dental costs, and rental bonds and rates.
You will need to have:
- A healthcare, pension or DVA card – or a working income of $55,000 gross or less.
- Have somewhere stable to live but exceptions can be made – call 1300 301 650 to chat about your situation.
- Capacity to repay the loan – A maximum of $40 per fortnight.
Interest-free loan payments up to a maximum of $40 per fortnight.
