Program Overview

AK is more than an emergency shelter. It is a place where young women are supported to stabilise, regain a sense of safety, and begin planning for a more secure future. Our team takes the time to build trust and understand each individual’s circumstances, working alongside them to create a personalised pathway towards safe and sustainable housing.

Support at AK is practical, compassionate, and holistic. We provide:

  • Immediate emergency accommodation
  • Nutritious meals and essential personal items
  • Support to access education, health services, and appointments
  • Advice, advocacy, and referrals
  • Assistance to reconnect with family where safe and appropriate
  • Pathways to longer-term and independent living options

Every interaction is grounded in care, respect, and hope. We are committed to helping young women feel safe, strengthen their independence, and move forward with confidence towards a brighter future.
