Emergency Relief offers financial aid to eligible people experiencing financial distress or hardship.
What does this program offer?
Emergency Relief provides financial aid to eligible people experiencing financial hardship due to an unexpected crisis event or their current life situation.
We offer a confidential, non-judgmental assessment over the phone to determine if you are eligible to receive emergency relief. If you are eligible, our client service staff can arrange the delivery of vouchers electronically or via post - depending on your needs.
We also provide referrals to other more intensive supports such as financial counselling, help with mental health wellbeing, loss and grief, and alcohol and other drug support in a way that maintains the dignity of individuals and families.

Tasmanian individuals or households experiencing financial distress or hardship are welcome to contact us for an initial phone appointment that will determine eligibility.
What does it cost?
This is a free service funded by the Commonwealth Government Department of Social Services and offered to individuals and families by CatholicCare Victoria/ Tasmania (CCVT).
