Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Program (SETS)

A range of services to help people to settle into the community by improving social participation, economic wellbeing, independence and community connectedness.

What does this program offer?

The Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Program provides support to newly arrived people from refugee and migrant background as they settle in Tasmania.

We help our clients throughout their settlement journey by providing needs-based support which may include:

  • Case management to assist with housing, education, health, and other settlement related needs.
  • Targeted information sessions and workshops that enhance learning and understanding about life in Australia.
  • Established groups that focus on learning English, applying for citizenship, developing new skills, and increasing social connection.
Who can access this program?

People from refugee background and other eligible migrants who have recently arrived in Australia can access this program, while living in Southern Tasmania.

The Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Program supported by The Department of Home Affairs, and provided free of charge to participants.
