Employee Assistance General Counselling Services

CatholicCare’s head office is situated at 35 Tower Road New Town, there are also offices in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, Bridgewater, and Georgetown.

What does this program offer?

CatholicCare has sites in all regions of Tasmania every site is a full-service site with professional counselling rooms and qualified permanent counselling practitioners in attendance.

CatholicCare also has the ability to deliver services in various outreach locations, current outreach delivery sites include St Helen’s, Huonville, Queenstown, Roseberry, Cygnet, Scottsdale, Smithton, Wynyard, Richmond, CatholicCare has delivered services to all areas of the state including King island and Flinders Island.

Outreach services are usually available face to face and the full range of telephone and video formats, recently due to social distancing, face-to-face onsite visits are being supplemented with video calling or phone contact. CatholicCare practitioners have been trained in Microsoft Teams and can use other platforms such as Zoom when required.

CatholicCare Counselling practitioners are qualified and experienced professionals with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in the field and many have in excess of 10 years’ experience. Although all counselling practitioners are generalist counsellors they also have specialisations in many fields including, couples counselling, family counselling, children’s counselling, grief and bereavement to name a few.
