Building Up Dads (BUDs)

If you have some contact with your child and would like to be a really great dad, the BUDS group meets to share and learn about parenting with professional counsellors.

What does this program offer?

Over nine sessions you can find out more about:

  • your role as a child-focused dad in your family,
  • being the best dad you can be,
  • renewing and rebuilding a relationship with your child
  • establishing respectful and effective communication with your child’s mum,
  • connecting with other dads in the same situation.

Building Up Dads is a group program for fathers who would like to become more child-focused.

Financial hardship is no barrier to using this service, and if you have a Health Care Card the service is free.
