Building Up Dads is a group program in Hobart for men who have used family violence or have concerns about their behaviour and its impact on their children and family relationships, and are seeking to strengthen their parenting.
Participants will explore:
- The role of being a child-focused dad
- ways to build positive relationships with children
- understanding the impact of behaviour on children and family relationships
- strategies for respectful and effective communication with a child’s mother
- opportunities to connect and learn alongside other fathers- practical skills to support positive parenting.
This is a free program for men with current family violence orders.
Starts Tuesday 30 June at 1.00pm 2-hour sessions each week for 9 weeks. Tea, coffee and light refreshments provided.
